I'm find this entire Miner II deal disgusting. I'm a die-hard capitalist yet this is NOT capitalism. In real capitalism there is competition. Here there is NONE!!!!
Im especially disgusted with Techell (read their mega for miners deal forum) and their arrogance. Sure theyre only charging 2.5mil per miner II (or were). Now they want us to mine their mega for them and be slave labor. Instead of doing what we want (trading in my case) I'm forced to be a slave-labor miner if I want a Miner II.
CCP really needs to reevaluate this deal and punish these economic griefers!!!! I mean I can understand the original premise of trading back the Miner V that TTI and that other corp receive for something but not a Miner II for Gods sake!! Give them a Tech II shield booster or something. Everyone knows Mining is about the biggest money-making activity in Eve. So you do this?
You need to get those Miner II BP's out on the market asap. Give people a chance at real capitalism through competition. This isn't even a monopoly because is a monopoly you have a choice of starting up a company and TRYING to knock someone off. Here there are no Miner II BP's so you have no chance. This is more like a state-run business with NO competition in the old Soviet Union era.
Techell acts like theyre doing us a "favor" by not charging $5million for the miner II's. A real "favor" would be charging around $500K for them (still a 500% profit considering the $40k production price) and building future customers for their ship sales.
Instead they alienate everyone with a super-arrogant attitude "Boycott us, I laugh. You have any idea how manny people have become rich because of us?" (Kel'dra) that makes other "greedy" corporations look like boy scouts. Techell is without a doubt beyond any other company in both arrogance and greed.
I did the math - you figure it out:
$40k Production cost x 40 a day = $1,600,000
$2,500,000 Sales cost x 40 a day = $100,000,000
$100,000,000 minus $1,600,000 production cost leaves $98,400,000 profit per day
$98,400,000 profit times 35 days youve had the BP is over THREE BILLION ISK in profit!!!!!!
Now you want us to mine for you too? Forget it!!!!!!
